I wondered whether an additional certification affect your paycheck in a positive way ... certified as a nurse or a little more than a not a specialist or sub region. Thank you!

I am not certified in these areas, but now I'm studying to be confirmed in obstetric patients. My hospital pays the reimbursement of costs for the certification exam and an annual premium of $ 500 for each certification is an RN. There is no time difference with the base salary for cert.
I do not do it for the money, I know because I own satisfaction that I want in the "expert" bin level of practice in my specialty. There is a certain amount of respect from his colleagues, doctors and patients when they know they are certified and really know each other from the field and not just some of the new sister, who just finished orientation.
